Welcoming FTI's Newest Leadership

The Facade Tectonics Institute (FTI) is pleased to announce recent changes to its Board of Directors and Special Advisory Council.

Ajla Aksamija, PhD, LEED AP BD+C, CDT

Ajla Aksamija, PhD, LEED AP BD+C, CDT was elected to fill the open office of the Vice President on the FTI Executive Committee. Ajla is Associate Professor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a researcher with Perkins&Will. She is a founding member of the Institute and has made contributions as an author, a reviewer and speaker at every World Congress. As a current board member and chair of the Education Committee, Ajla works with representatives from academic institutions and the profession to bridge the gap between academia and industry in developing contemporary education programs and opportunities.

The FTI board elected Stéphane Hoffman to fill the open board seat for a facade engineer/consultant/building scientist. Stéphane is Vice President Facade Engineering at Morrison Hershfield. He is an inaugural member of the Special Advisory Council and has played an important role in the Advocacy Committee's efforts including FTI's response to the DOE's request for information and feedback for improving the California Energy Commissions’ Title 24 code. He also participates in the Institute’s Facade Metrics Working Group.

Please also join us in welcoming our newest Special Advisory Council members: Ted Kesik, Bill Kreysler, Christopher Payne, Edward Peck, and Yu Hui.
