Blind Peer Review Underway for 2016 World Congress

A blind peer review process is currently underway for the Facade Tectonics Institute 2016 Annual Conference and inaugural World Congress. “The response to our call for papers exceeded all expectations,” says Doug Noble, the Institute’s managing director. “We received hundreds of abstract submissions addressing a remarkable range of building facade topics. We anticipate a truly extraordinary conference.” The two-day summit will include speaking and poster presentations, panel discussions, exhibitors and workshops addressing the theme Face Time: The Emergence of Facade as the Integrative Factor in Holistic Building Design. The event is scheduled for October 10-11 in Los Angeles.

Acceptance to the proceedings requires each submission to address the conference theme, be technically sound, present new or original research, include data to support its results and/or conclusion, and be non-commercial in nature. Reviewers include a select group of Institute steering committee members, industry professionals and academics. Accepted authors will be required to submit a full paper by the May 22 deadline, and will be invited to speak at the conference. A conference proceedings including all papers will be published and distributed at the event.
