Dr. Heusler is the honorary professor at the Detmold School for Architecture and Interior Design at Ostwestfalen-Lippe (OWL) University of Applied Sciences, where he teaches facade design and technology. He studied engineering at the Technical University in Munich, and wrote his doctoral thesis on "The Use of Daylight in Buildings" at the Technical University in Berlin.
