Biography

George M Blackburn, AIA, BCxA

With over fifty years’ of exceptionally diverse Architectural and building construction experience that includes a wide variety of services that have include building design and construction, contract administration, construction inspections, building condition assessment, and consulting, as well as government agency administration and management. He is the founding Principal of Blackburn Architecture, a consulting and forensic Architectural practice focused on building enclosure performance design, Construction condition assessment, damage analysis, and commissioning of the building enclosure façade and roof systems. He has Bachelor and Master of Architecture degrees from Tulane University and is a registered Architect with an NCARB certificate. His experience also includes serving as an Architectural and construction expert for lawsuits. He has been presenting the Building Envelope Commissioning course for the Association of Energy Engineers’ Certified Building Commissioning Professional certification program for 15 years.

As an Emirates Member of the American Institute of Architects, he is serving and has served on a variety of related Professional and industry association boards, and groups including:
