Biography

After graduation from Xi'an Jiaotong University with a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Chenxi Yang worked as an architect in China to engage in architectural design on building types including office building, residential building, and commercial complex, etc. Having worked for several years, he expects to hike through the glamorous west coast in California and try exploring new technologies to solve existing architectural issues. Now he is majoring in Building Science for a Master's degree at USC School of Architecture, and he is interested in facades technique and building information modeling. During the period at USC, he has completed some projects on ETFE research, structural redesign, and building thermal environment and energy performance. He actually enjoys the learning experience in building techniques. Right now he is developing his thesis project on kinetic facades based on parametric design.
