Biography

Bruce N. Wright, FAIA, is one of the world’s leading experts in architectural fabrics. Through a variety of media, he has elevated the profession’s ability to design and innovate with cutting-edge, sustainable, and lightweight materials.

Bruce Wright is a licensed architect who is also a leading professional writer and editor. From his unique vantage point as both architect and expert, he leads the profession’s growing understanding of architectural fabrics and their applications.

In 1996, Bruce became the editor of the influential design journal, Fabric Architecture (FA), where, for 17 years he edited papers by engineers, architects and fabricators from across the globe. Published by Industrial Fabrics Association International, FA’s target audience is architects around the world who can apply fabric solutions to their projects. He became a top expert in the field at a time when the portability, energy savings, and lower carbon footprints of lightweight structures were increasingly paramount.

Bruce teaches in the construction management program and the new architecture program at Dunwoody College of Technology in Minneapolis and was actively engaged in its professional degree accreditation process. Dunwoody now offers a 5-year BArch architecture degree.
