Changes to FTI Staff & Leadership

The Facade Tectonics Institute (FTI) announces upcoming changes to our staff and leadership team.

On July 2, 2021, Katie Gould will leave her position as FTI’s Program Director to pursue other endeavors. Katie initially started working with FTI in 2015 when she helped rebrand the organization, launched our membership program, and organized our first Forum events outside of Los Angeles. Over the past six years, Katie has organized 18 Forums and three World Congress events. In between events, one of her most notable projects was to improve access to FTI's extensive library of resources through a robust website which launched in 2019. We want to take this opportunity to thank Katie for the exceptional work she has done over the past several years to drive the organization where it is today. We wish her the very best in her new pursuits.

Valerie Block has volunteered to step down from her executive position on the FTI Board of Directors to become the interim FTI Executive Director. Valerie brings over 30 years of experience in the glass and glazing industry and with leading non-profit organizations. We are thrilled to have her support during this transitionary period. With Valerie’s transition to an FTI staff member, there will be an open seat on the FTI Board of Directors. Please refer to our recent call for nominations for more information.

Raditia Lasry will also step in as part-time Administrative Assistant. Many of you might recognize Raditia from several years ago when she supported our membership program from 2017-2018. We are happy to welcome her back to the FTI team!

After July 2, Valerie and Raditia will take over all communications and emails to Katie will automatically be forwarded to the appropriate person. If you have any questions or concerns, please direct them to info@facadetectonics.org. If you have any sensitive questions, you can also reach out directly to our current president, Helen Sanders, at Helen.Sanders@technoform.com.
